ILI are not likely to be 8. IXI have volitional sensing(the most 8 related function) as their suggestive function it's mean that it's the type of person that theyadmire not the function that they use naturally. most ILI are 9 as guts (Hayek, Raymond Aron, Balzac, Kristen Stewart) and sometimes 1 (Martin Luther and Stephen King) but not 8 as guts.

I guess also I'll say when I think of people who are 458 the first people who come to mind very clearly are žižek, Marx, and Lorne Malvo...all NTPs, 8s and ILEs.

The vocabulary "take control of a situation or environment" does sound rather 8ish, but the motivations in the second part of what you said are very clearly 1.

You're going to be hard pressed to find 4s and 5s who put 8 over 9 and 1...most likely would occur with an 8 really.
