Tman INTP 5w4/1w9/4w5 Sx/Sp ILI One thing I forgot to mention, is that the 5 tend to move towrads seven under stress, becoming move and more disorginized. Russle tened to move a lot more towards 1 under stress, sometimes going after his opionits charter and becoming slightly morlistic without realizing it, think of his comment on Plato and the Rationalists in "unpopular essays" for an example. 0 2019-08-28 06:47:46pm (post #7023) |
Tman INTP 5w4/1w9/4w5 Sx/Sp ILI Especilay note the "emptnies within." 0 2019-08-28 06:37:42pm (post #7022) |
Tman INTP 5w4/1w9/4w5 Sx/Sp ILI Okay let me try and defend this. I knew Russel had a heavy 6 infiulince, but for some reason 5 just didn't seem right to me. For a while I typed him as a 6, but that didn't make sense either. It took me a while to think about it, but it's clear to me now, the 5s core fear is of being overwhelemed by the outside world, and so they draw inward. Russle didn't show any signs of this. One notable case is a conversation he had with Wigenstine (5w4 or mabye 1w9) when Wigenstine told him he was going to "go into the woods and solve all the problems of Logic." Russle thought he was crazzy, and tried to tell him he would get lonly. Or take this qoute. “We are all prone to the malady of the introvert who with the manifold spectacle of the world spread out before him, turns away and gazes only upon the emptiness within.” Russle had a lot of intelectual courisotity, but he had no intent on building a modle that explained the totality of existince. At best, he tried to prove the laws of math, empricinicm, and common sense. He had the intelectual couriosty of the 5, but it seemed to have been framed as a thing directed outwords. Knowlge was out there, unlike the 5s, for whom knowlge was in here. 0 2019-08-28 06:34:39pm (post #7021) |
