He might very well be a Thinker. Despite all those emotional displays and tantrums he actually - within his convoluted views and beliefs - tries and makes choices that go beyond and repress the "human factor". The parricide episode being the best showcase of that, he didn't like it, nor did he hate his father, he just needed to do it to better his career and move further toward his goals.

Either way he's certainly not as strong in feeling preference as it is voted here.

i did not know it was needed but it is sigh...

why Kylo ren is not a 8 but a 6

at first his core fear his not to loose control, it's too being not worthy of his grand father figure. it's a 6 relation to authority. second we can see in his interraction with rey (phobic 6) that she fear to go out of her safe zone but him fight his fear by putting them away (counterphobic). can you still type him as a 8 after seeing the scene with Vader Mask?

Kylo ren is not a good planner (Te inf) look how he choose to take a girl who might don't know the skywalker location instead of the purpose of his mission, killing han solo in a front of his wookie friend who got a huge blaster in his hand, attack rey and finn even if he is hurt by th blaster, even when he killed Snoke he did that on the jump of the action. he is also more Ne than Ni he is too hesitant about what he future will be to be a Ni dom, he is a Ne aux: he see many multiple possibility instead of one who reason with his vision. all his desire is about his identity Fi, not about external rationnal goal Te.

@Omni That's pretty convincing. His whole obsession with Vader and subordination to Snoke still kinda make me think 6 could fit better. But I think I might have been interpreting some of his characteristics wrong regarding his true desires. I mean - does his desire for power stem from insecurity or is it just power for the sake of having power and being strong? I thought it was the first option, but rereading that conversation between him and Rey, I could see it actually being the second option. I'll take away my vote for now.

Here's how I see it: He clearly suffers a lot from his feelings of being betrayed by someone who he was supposed to be able to trust (Luke), and so he goes right off the deep end and looks to Snoke for a new, more destructive kind of guidance. He also looks to Darth Vader for guidance in a way, aspiring to be like him and follow in his footsteps. Additionally, 6s (esp. unhealthy and CP 6s) usually don't have a problem dealing harshly with people they feel have betrayed them, and Kylo Ren most definitely feels betrayed by his parents (esp. Han), Luke, and eventually even Snoke. After he kills Snoke, he even turns to Rey and offers her a spot beside him, having learned to somewhat trust her during the movie. It was only with her help that he was able to overcome his fears and conformity to Snoke and kill him in the first place. If he were an 8, I don't think he'd be so quick to ask her to join him like a comrade; it proves that he would rather have someone to aide him than to be alone.

Bonus: Kylo Ren to Snoke in TFA: "I just need your guidance."
