The hate comes from the fact that he really isn't a character, he's a function. The only vague characterization is his obsession with puzzles that seems to only be there superficially to cover the fact that he has no personality.
He seems to need to rely on outside help for external orgnanization; this really catches me up when it comes to his "J". Enneagram is the easiest.
