sx/so>sx/sp. If you read his letters, he regularly expresses interest in so matters, at least more so than an so-last would
I actually agree with the EII typing of him. It seems like he imbued his feelings deeply upon objects around him or created scenes where they could become embodied and then expressed them. Obviously that requires a high dose of intuition, but it seems as though he was always trying to communicate a specific emotion that could be communicated no other way. He didn’t use emotions as a vehicle to create worlds so much as created worlds to communicate emotions.
