edza ENTJ 8w7 SLE "she doesn't do things for the sake of efficiency" "chooses the best tactical straightforward method ... to achieve her mission" Okay... Besides, it seems like you're talking more about her job rather than psychological preferences. 0 2018-06-10 11:31:34pm (post #1165) |
Blank I'm just typing her using IDRlabs definitions on functions. And using that, she is an ISTP. She is not a Te user, she doesn't do things for the sake of efficiency nor imposing order, nor is long range planner. So INTJ is discarded. She adapts to the current situation and chooses the best tactical straightforward method (Ti + Se) to achieve her mission. Pretty much like Solid Snake or James Bond. 0 2018-06-10 01:28:32pm (post #1162) |
edza ENTJ 8w7 SLE If you're typing her using Jung's types she'd be more of an Extraverted Thinking type, which also ties into why I chose LIE. Jung's Introverted Thinking type leans J and strongly N anyway, and making the case that she fit Jung's Ti would be more like saying she's likely to be INTJ. However, she has a Thinking (Jungian) preference without actually being Judging (MBTI). That's not the norm but what she is makes it a lot more likely. 0 2018-06-10 11:43:13am (post #1161) |
Blank My understanding of functions come mostly from IDRlabs or derivated sources. Here they mention Ti: https://www.google.es/amp/s/www.idrlabs.com/articles/2013/04/why-te-is-inductive-and-ti-is-deductive/amp/ "External facts are not the aim and origin of [Ti]. … [Ti] formulates questions and creates theories, it opens up new prospects and insights, but with regard to facts its attitude is one of reserve. They are all very well as illustrative examples, but they must not be allowed to predominate. Facts are collected as evidence for a theory, never for their own sake. If ever this happens, it is merely a concession to the extraverted style.” (Psychological Types §628) 0 2018-06-10 02:04:02am (post #1152) |
edza ENTJ 8w7 SLE @Blank I guess it depends on who you are reading, but at the very least N/Ne is all about theoretical while S/Se is not. Why S/Se though? Isn't S and Se supposed to be about the "here and now"? Motoko doesn't even like watching movies because it's too "transient". 1 2018-06-09 06:24:19pm (post #1140) |
Blank Ti per se already consider a lot of theorical possibilities. I will need a better argument on Ne. Didn't type her as S because of her physical abilities. 0 2018-06-09 05:09:34pm (post #1134) |
edza ENTJ 8w7 SLE INTP LIE makes the most sense. Even in Grant stacks, thinking dominant with auxiliary "consider all possibilities" makes the most sense unless you are going to type by physical ability/awareness which has little to nothing to do with cognition, especially when we're talking about cyberbrained cyborgs. 0 2018-06-09 01:43:27pm (post #1129) |
