Extremely aware of the emotional environments of a room + the people within it. This is exactly why Iago was so good at manipulating others to his bidding. I would have voted LIE but his aristocratic view of authority (notice how Iago does not confront Othello directly for his lack of a promotion but tries his best to appear honest and unassuming, even non-threatening in his presence). Iago is also much like Hamlet in that they monologue and sing out of nowhere in the middle of the scene to make an emotional shift on the viewer.
