There's a legitimate argument to be made about Augustus being the greatest politician to ever live but a great general he was not. He blatantly relied upon his officers and there were multiple times where he nearly died because he was thrown off his horse or got confused on the battlefield. His method as a politician was to wait until the right moment and approach things carefully, there's not much SLE about him.
