essentialism is about finding the general idea of something and is focus on precise definition so Ti dom work, Descartes is an exemple of philosopher (INTP) quite focus on the essence of things. but essence is also about finding an eternal meaning to something so Ni can also be a good example (Plato is the perfect exemple of Ni+Ti). heraclitus is a Ni dom so he want find something eternal, but his empirical way of finding information (Te), show him the necessity of change, and it makes him sad.
